On their one day off per week, live-in migrant workers pour out into the streets of Hong-Kong, bringing with them cardboard boxes and trolley-loads of food, clothing and appliances. The cardboard boxes are turned into makeshift floors and walls placed on pavements, in public squares and at the foot of Hong Kong’s enormous towers. Standing amongst the sea of cardboard, colourful clothing and chaotic conversations enamoured us to these women’s outwardly challenge to Hong Kong’s elite.
